Our residences are approved under the supervision of the New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and have proved to be recognized models of happy, secure, comfortable environments for these adults.

• AABR strives to provide nurturing, spacious homes in New York City. Presently, there are 17 family units, shared by congenial, complementary small groups of individuals.
• Whether taking care of everyday activities around the house, having fun indoors and out, shopping, cooking, attending community events-all AABR houses provide the warmth we all desire. 
• All are staffed around the clock to insure maximum growth, independent living tasks, interpersonal and social skills, recreation and community interaction.
